What this site collects
Most pages can be read without providing personal information. The public site does not ask for Social Security numbers, account numbers, login credentials, dates of birth, statements, or tax documents.
This launch does not use a contact form. If you choose to email Jake, the message is handled through your email provider and the firm's email systems.
Scheduling with Calendly
Booking links open Calendly, an outside scheduling service. Calendly collects the information you choose to enter and may collect technical information under its own policy. Jake and the firm receive the scheduling details needed to coordinate the meeting.

Email and documents
Ordinary email is not a secure place for statements, account numbers, tax documents, or other sensitive financial information. Jake can provide a secure upload method if documents are needed.
The Severance X Ray
X Ray answers are stored in local browser storage on the device where the tool is used. The tool does not send those answers to Jake automatically.
If you choose to email a readout, the tool opens your own email application with a draft. You decide whether to send it and can edit or remove any content first. Copying or printing a readout also occurs on your device.
Local results remain until you erase them in the tool or clear browser storage. They do not move automatically to another device.
Browser storage and cookies
The site uses local browser storage for the X Ray and for first visit campaign attribution. X Ray answers remain until you delete them in the tool or clear browser storage. Campaign labels expire after 30 days. Neither is used to build an advertising profile.
This site is intended for United States residents and starts Microsoft Clarity automatically. Clarity may use analytics cookies and pseudonymous identifiers to connect page views into a session. Advertising storage remains denied. A visitor's earlier choice to continue without cookies and a browser Global Privacy Control signal are honored by keeping analytics storage denied. Visitors can also block or clear cookies in their browser settings. Other outside services may use cookies and storage under their own policies.
Analytics
This site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site. Clarity may process page URLs, referral information, device and browser information, page size and performance information, and interactions such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movements, window resizing, and navigation. Clarity uses this information to provide aggregated reports, heatmaps, and reconstructed session replays. Jake uses these reports to improve site content and the booking path. This site does not use Clarity for advertising.
On all Severance X Ray pages, the entire page is explicitly masked before Clarity receives it. X Ray answers, free text, dates, calculations, dollar amounts, account data, and displayed results are not uploaded to Clarity. Clarity may still receive the page path, masked layout information, generic interaction events, and anonymous funnel events such as X Ray started, question number reached, X Ray completed, readout viewed, call to action clicked, booking page reached, and booking completed. These events do not contain selected answers or result details. Campaign labels may identify the page or source of a visit, but they do not contain X Ray answers. Standard recordings are generally available for 30 days. Aggregated click data, heatmaps, and recordings marked as favorites may be available for up to 9 months. How information is used and retained
Email and scheduling information is used to respond, coordinate a meeting, protect the service, and meet applicable business or regulatory recordkeeping obligations.
Personal information is not sold. It may be processed by service providers that operate the website, email, or scheduling workflow, or disclosed when required by law.
